Writing
I write fiction and poetry.
My writing draws upon my experiences as a neurodivergrent person, kindergarten teacher, outdoor educator, after-school director and mother. My books often feature SEL themes and neurodivergent characters and include topics like counting, climbing, hiking, playing tennis and love. I aim to empower young people by offering mirrors, windows and doors, and relatable adventures.
I am also looking for a home for my debut poetry collection, how I became a mother, which includes themes of loss, motherhood, nature and spirituality, and began as an independent study while studying with Ruth Forman at The Bread Loaf School of English.
